Sad day....Happy day

Today we dropped off my little brother and sister at school. It is sad because my little bro is the last one to leave home and my little sister won't be coming back :(. The happy part is that they are both doing great things and have so much to look forward to. The other night I was talking to my little sister as she was packing up her room, it felt like the moment in Father of the Bride where Annie is packing up her room and then tells her dad "I have actually packed it all..." I almost cried...I love my little sister and I can't believe that she is getting married in month and a half...I will surely miss sharing a room with her and just being able to watch over her. Now she has her amazing fiance to take care of her, but she will always be my little sister...My little bro has grown up so much and is truly one of the most amazing men in my life. I don't know a more humble, kind, sweet, and loving young man than him. He is so solid in the gospel and has always pushed me to be better...I love him for that. He was able for the first time to help give our fathers blessings the other night. He gave my grandma a beautiful blessing. I am so grateful to have such amazing brothers and an amazing father...I don't know how I got soooooo lucky...but I did!!!
My parents should be empty nesters but I am still here...one day soon though I will be gone but for now its just me and the parentals...

Family Reunion

This past week my family ventured up to Island Park Idaho for an Anderson Family Reunion. It was a lot of fun spending time with cousins, aunts, uncles and my grandma. I just love being with my family, it is always more fun when we are together. Here are some things we did...

* Devotionals by my aunt Lori, my dad and grandma. They each shared a beautiful message about the Savior, the temple and being a family. I am so grateful for such great examples.

* Sailboat races. My aunt brought a craft that everyone was able to participate in. It was so much fun. We put together sailboats, then painted them and gave them awesome names. Afterwords, we took them to the river and had a little race. Unfortunately none of the sailboats really sailed all that well so I say it was tie!

* We rented boats and floated down the river. It was so fun and so relaxing. The weather was just perfect! We had 6 boats going down at the same time so we had a little race even though a few of the boats had no idea this race was going on...my boat consisted of my mom and dad, me and my sister...we were awesome and took 2nd place...we were so close to taking first. On the way down we got to see a Moose and her baby...they just decided to have a little drink from the river, it was really cool.

* We went to Mack's playhouse and had dinner and watched a play which was a spoof on Robin Hood. The play was ok...I felt like they were trying too hard to be funny so it ended up not being that funny...but their were some funny parts as well as some awkward parts...the people that played robin hood and maid marianne were actually brother and sister so it was a little awkward watching them act like they were in love.

* Playing games. We played sooooo many games...My aunt and cousin came up with all of these fun games like flicking a shoe on a table, sliding an oreo down your face and into your mouth and building a tower of index cards etc. We were divided up into teams. Each team came up with a team name and cheer, then each team started at a different game and had to finish the game in one min...you got three chances to complete each game. Whoever completed the most games won. My team took second...my dad's team took first so I am pretty sure that they cheated...It was a lot of fun...my family tends to be a little too competitive.

* We spent a lot of time just relaxing...we watched movies and took naps...it was heaven

It was so much fun...Thanks fam for a great time!

Here are a few pics... I kind of forgot about my camera so I only have a few...

Warning: Blog overload...

So a lot has happened in the past few months since I have last blogged so here goes nothing....

First and for most my little sister is ENGAGED!!!!!! Yes, I repeat my little sister... I am really happy for her. Her fiance is a great guy. They met up at USU while they were in the same math class...she had to help him...good thing too cause he barely passed :). They are getting married on October 15, 2010 in the Logan Temple. Here is a picture of the happy couple!

Welcome to the family Karl! I am so excited for both of you!

Now some of you may be wondering how I am doing with the fact that my little sister is getting married before me...I figure that since so many people have already asked me this I might as well tell all...To be perfectly honest when my sister first started dating Karl I was really worried that she would be getting married soon and I had a really hard time with it...And when she actually got engaged I still had a really hard time with it...After awhile and through lots of faith and prayers, I started to feel so much better....All the emotions that I was feeling before were not because I was not happy for my sister but were for wanting so much to have what she has just found...I now know more than ever that the Lord has his own time table and He knows what is best for us, all we have to do is trust in Him...

So with that said...I really am enjoying life...I moved away from Provo (which was much needed)...I am attending a student ward at the U and am having a lot of fun doing whatever I want...so what's not to like!

Continuing on...

Let me take you back to the good old elementary days where recess was the favorite subject, teachers were really easy and nice, and you really didn't have a lot to worry about....but the best part about elementary was the MUSIC aka......the BACKSTREET BOYS!!! Oh yes...those five boys were America's heart throb...

Here they are then...

Here they are now...minus one

Well...my amazing friend Heather got tickets to go to their concert and invited me and some other friends to come...it was soooo much fun!!! It definitely took me back to those elementary days...

Here are some pics from the concert...

Ok so I feel like this is getting a little long...I could go on and on but I won't so last but not least....

STADIUM OF FIRE.......

My dad is pretty much amazing and somehow got tickets to the Stadium of Fire only two weeks before...so I was pretty excited especially since Carrie Underwood was going to be performing...I absolutely love Carrie, she is definitely one of my favorite singers...Well, the plan was that my whole fam would come but it didn't turn out that way...my brother and sister-in-law were not able to make it and either was my sister and her fiance so me and my little bro invited a friend and my parents invited my aunt and uncle to join us as well...it was a lot of fun and it turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL day...Carrie was amazing as usual and the fireworks were fantastic (except for the fact that one of the fireworks didn't quite make it above the stadium and about started the stadium on fire and scared all the little dancers on the field)...All in all it was AWESOME!!

To be continued....

Ticket?

It happened....I got my first speeding ticket on Sat. I think the cop was just waiting on the side of the road just for me. He had me tagged before I even got to him...dumb cop. At least I wasn't the only one who got a ticket...he pulled 2 more people over after me...I am sure he didn't want me to feel left out. Thank you cop...you made my day...NOT!

Graduation!!!

Whaoooooooooo......I am finally done with school! It feels AWESOME!!!
Graduation was a lot of fun. I was able to spend time with family and friends. Thursday was commencement, I got to walk with my cousin Mikall and good friend Kyle Anderson. The Marriott Center was packed...the ushers were struggling to fit all of the graduates but they did it. Elder Christopherson was the speaker. He shared some really cool stories and talked about doing good things in our lives. It was great. After commencement I went to dinner with my roommie, Megan. We went to Cafe Rio....yummmm....Once we were done with dinner we played some speed Uno with some of our good friends, Brandon and Craig. If you have never played speed Uno you should learn its way fun.
Friday was my actual GRADUATION....plus it was move out day...it was a very long day...I got up early, cleaned like mad and packed all of my stuff...gee I love moving...NOT! When 5'o clock rolled around I was at the Marriott Center waiting for my turn to get my degree... I got to listen to some great speakers...one of which was Bill Marriott, the CEO of Marriott...after that it was time to walk...it was the LONGEST HOUR AND A HALF OF MY LIFE!!!! I was in the very last row so it literally took FOREVER...but I finally had my turn to walk, shake the deans hand and I got to sign a big piece of the basketball floor which will be hung up in the Tanner building...pretty cool. After all was said and done I went to dinner with my parents and grandparents at Rodigio grill...it was delicious!!!
So there you have it...I have officially GRADUATED.

Thanks for all of the wonderful gifts and support from my fam and friends!

Real life

I have finally given into the blogging world...I decided that since I am graduating and entering into the "Real World" that I should document my "Real Life" experiences. I am sure that my life will be more exciting and eventful then it has been...or not, we shall see. But before I have these exciting experiences, I actually have to graduate. Good thing that I will be GRADUATING on Friday!!! Yay! Finally, school will be behind me...there are things that I will miss about being a student and things that I won't. First, things that I won't miss:

1. Staying up late to write a paper that I procrastinated.
2. Studying for a test, then taking the test and realizing that your professor wanted to test you on another subject.
3. Busy work Busy work and more Busy work...
4. Homework that makes no sense what so ever!
5. Countless hours in the library.
6. Professors that say they care and that they want you to succeed but they really don't.
7. Waiting in line at the Cougar eat for hours just to get a sandwich.
8. Driving 2 min to campus, then parking my car and walking 15 more min. to actually get to my class that is forever away.
9. Tests Papers Tests Papers Tests Papers etc. etc...
10. Buying books...enough said.

Things that I will miss:

1. Watching the campus come to life when its Spring.
2. People watching in the library, in the Cougar eat and in the courtyard outside.
3. Losing my voice after a football game.
4. Singing "Rise and shout the cougars are out..." at all of the games.
5. Meeting lots of new people and making new friends.
6. Playing games in class.
7. Crazy fun professors that randomly break out in song in the middle of class.
8. Christmas lights and decorations around campus.
9. Working at Public Affairs...working with the most amazing people...having awesome experiences....driving around in a golf cart and meeting the most incredible people.
10. And....just being a student.

So...Real life begins...
